Li, Guojun
Guojun Li is a Senior Research Scientist in Department
of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Georgia,
and a professor in Department of Mathematics, Shandong
University of China. He received his Ph.D degree from Institute
of Mathematics and System Sciences, Chinese Academy of Science,
Beijing, China in 1996. There have been several changes for
his research experience. He had been engaging in study of
Graph Theory before 1998. After then he had been focusing on
algorithm design and analysis until 2003. Subsequently, he
shifted his research area from Mathematics to Bioinformatics.
His current research interests include protein structure
prediction and modeling; large-scale biological data mining;
operon, binding sites and regulon prediction; clustering
and biclustering analysis. He is especially interested in
algorithm design aimed at the resolution of problems
from biology by combinatorial approaches. He has published over
60 journal papers in mathematical, computer science and
biology related scientific journals.
