Wang, Wen
Dr. Wen Wang is currently the professor and leader of the
Max Planck Junior Research Group on Evolutionary Genomics
at Kunming Institute of Zoology. He studied molecular evolution
at Kunming Institute of Zoology and received Ph.D degree in 1996,
and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of
Ecology and Evolution, University of Chicago in 1997 through 2002.
After that, he was appointed as the professor and leader
of Max Planck Junior Research Group on Evolutionary Genomics
(2002) and deputy director (2005)
of Kunming Institute of Zoology. His research
focus on origin of genetic novelties in genomes. His awards
include Distinguished Young Investigator Award (2004)
from the Natural Science Foundation of China.
Dr. Wang has published many papers in top journals,
including Science and Nature.
